Exercises to Lose Weight Quickly - If You Are Using Cardio to Lose Weight You May Be Doing it Wrong

If you are one of the millions of people out there looking for the best exercise to lose weight, you may have been told that you need to add cardio exercise to your workout in order for it to be successful.

While many people have added cardio to their list of exercises to lose weight from, they may not be taking advantage of it it the best way possible.

Most people get too caught up in the details of the exercise, whether its the type of equipment that they use, the speed at which they are doing it or the length of time that they are exercising. There are people who will get an a treadmill for 45 minutes to an hour and barely break a sweat and think that since they ran for an hour they will lose weight.

Then there are other people who start a massively intense workout routine, such as a circuit training routine and push their body to it's limits for 5 minutes. They are drenched in sweat and can barely breath and are thus assured that they are doing the best exercise to lose weight.

What both groups are missing is that its not the length of time, nor the intensity that directly impacts the weight loss they are receiving through this exercise, its the number of calories they are burning.

Since exercise and weight loss work affect everyone differently, if they do not focus on the calorie burn then they might be wasting time and energy needlessly.
